Default RE: 1995 Ford Explorer

I have a 96 Ford Explorer and the windows wouldn't go up and down due to the window lock switch being broken, I changed the driver side window / door lock switch (top and bottom) yet the windows still only go up and down sometimes. Can anyone offer some possible solutions ? Thanks in advance
