Hello everyone,
I have used these forums in the past and everyone has always been helpful. I am actually posting for a friend who has a 98 explorer with 112,000 miles. The problem he is having is with the 4x4. When he switches from auto to high then to low the 4x4 engages. The problem he is having is when he wants to put the trans into park it sticks in neutral and grinds going into park. It sounds as if something is not engaged/disengaged and I hear a grinding/spinning noise. Any help in this matter would be appreciated.
