I NEED HELP!!!!

Purchase my vehicle (2013 Explorer 3.5L Base Model). in 2017 with 22k miles on it and one previous owner. Two years later and LITERALLY one month after the bumper to bumper expired my steering started getting sticky. Then a grinding noise (metal on metal) soon followed. I was told it was the rack and pinion (which is electric) needed to be replaced. Done. I get 6 months of smooth sailing before the grinding is back. This time on my vacation in VA (I live in NJ) and we load up the car to head home the steering wheel won't turn and I have lights blaring on the dash (Service Power Steering AND Service AdvanceTrac). I had to have it towed all the way back up to NJ.

I take it to a mechanic shop and he says the same thing. It's the Rack. Replacement # 2. I get the car back drive it for about 30 minutes and the lights come back on, the steering gets sticky, and I manage to get it back to the mechanic. He says he thinks it failed so, Replacement # 3. He check wires, reprograms it....EVERYTHING OVER THE COURSE OF 5 MONTHS!!!! Everytime he reset the system or unplugged the battery, the light would go away and the steering would loosen back up.

Finally he handed me back the keys and said he couldn't figure it out and that he was sorry.

Now...3k in the hole on repairs that didn't fix the problem, I'm a still making payments on it, and it's pretty much just taking up a parking spot for almost a year because it the LIGHTS are back on and the steering is locked.

For the love of GOD someone please help me!!!

Once I see these on the dash I know I'm screwed and better pray for good parking.

And they always come on together.
