abs light?
hey folks, i just bought a 2000 explorer with sohc v-6.whats the usual problem with the abs light coming on? do i need to take and have it scanned or is there a sensor that i can replace?any help would be thankfull.
with some newer vehicles, there is a monitoring system that triggers the abs light when the brake fluid is low. i would first have a look at the fluid, and if everything is ok, it could also be coming on because you have very thin brake pads, or possibly, but less likely, rotors. if everything there looks good, then it is likely an ABS issue, and you would have to have it scanned to diagnose the problem.
