Default coolant ieak at tranny

[:-]I have a question about coolant leak. After driving my 95 Explorer for a short ways I noticed a coolant smell. I pulled over to check if my radiator was leaking, It was not. To my surprize, there was coolant leaking not from the radiator, but fromthe back of the motor area anddripping down around the bellof the tranny. So my question is, could there be some coolant lines of some sort that wind there way around the back part of the motor, or is it the dreaded (head gasket)?
