Default RE: explorer 1993 questions

ok, so I removed instrument panel cluster. Do I have to get cluster recalibrated since I disconnected guages and replaced the 194 bulbs? I also checked the ports for fuel, and temp guage and it lit up one out the 3 ports per guage. So I'm pretty satisfied that the fuelguage problem is the sending unit or float. So I plan to drive to lower my fuel then drop tank today or tommorrow and replace strainer, pump, float andsending unit as oneassembly.

Just plug everything back in and reinstall the cluster, be the same as before you removed it. Luck on dropping the tank, just be careful and it will go ok.

They are quick if you have the right tool. Glad it's fixed.

Forgot the part number for the tool, but it fits over the fuel line and slides up into the connector. Sometimes it is stubborn and you have to push the line toward the connector and force the tool into it, then it will come off.
