explorer brake problem

roering noise in front of explorer. had a noise earilier that was a knocking noise sounded like i was running over the reflectors in middle of the road. now after about 40 miles developed into this roaring noise. the brake pedal you can fell and hear the antilock engage. sometimes the pedal pushes back on your foot. Wat can be going wrong. 97 with 130000 miles. thanks dan

Is it all wheel drive and have you replaced any tires lately.
