Default Front Wheel Bearings Bad

Just had my front wheel bearings replace at 60,000 miles on my 2002 4X4 Explorer - The dealer said that is normal for wheel bearings at this mileage - anybody have a different opinion - or know of a Recall or something I can use to appeal the charges?

Seems like a little pre-mature for packed wheel bearings.

If you go here and go down the "maintenance" there is a recall section. Looks liek you need to create a login to get to it though, but doesn't cost anything

https://www.fleet.ford.com/

Also above, right below the top banner there is a link to Ford Recalls, that will have info on recalls and TSB's, but don't know how up to date they are, but worth looking through.

I have replaced bearings on those models as early as 15,000 miles.
