Default Gas Mileage

I have a 1999 Explorer, 6 cylinder Vin. X. I drive it to work mostly and gas mileage has varied from close to 17MPG and as bad as
10 MPG. It has new plugs, plug wires and fuel filter. It runs good. Why such a differance in MPG? I have Bosch plugs in it.

Default RE: Gas Mileage

My 95 OHV V6 gives me 15-16MPG consistantly. Your variation in mileage is way too extreme. Do you calculate at fillup? Divide the # of gallons put in by Miles driven. Did you put the Bosch plugs in recently? That may be part of the issue as well. Just my opinion.
