Hi I have XLT 2016 my ford touch with voice navigation.
Is that HD radio is optional feature?

I only know Sirius is optional feature.

Please give me info if somebody has as dealer never told me that HD in radio is optional.

The Sony AM/FM stereo, single-CD w/HD Radio is not an available option on the XL & XLT models. To get it, you have to step up to the Lariat or higher models. I have it in my 2015 Lariat. It's a 10 speaker 700-watt system.

My bad...LOL...I had F-150 stuck in my head when I read your post and thought I was still in the F-150 portion of the forum...

Just looked on Fords website. The Sony HD radio is only available on the Limited and Platinum models.

The limited is 12 speakers 390-watts and the Platinum is 12 speaker 500-watts.

I remember driving the high class models when I worked on the lot, they sound so nice! A way to get the HD sound without the radio is to stream the IHeartRadio app (or something comparable if your station isn't on IHeart) via Bluetooth.

Hi Kyle,
Thanks for ur reply but is that possible to change existing radio only with after market. I know whole Ford XLT Explorere unit is integration of 8inch display/navigation has sperate adpter but integarte to display/climate has seprate adapter but integrate to display and same way Radio and sirius...so I just want to take out radio and replace with aftermarket Sony or Pioneer one...

I done for Ford Escape 2008 with Poineer and it sounds so great.
Can we make adjustments within Ford warranty to replace with aftermarket part?

If you tap into the wiring to change the system then you will likely void some part of your warranty. It is risky so you will want to be sure before digging in.

Agreed, if you want to do it this will likely be your best bet to get it right.

As per Ford it should be install at Factory on XLT Premium or Dealer Service Reps should order small module part and install at dealer premisises as part of accessory.
