Default Headlight issues

I have a 2004 Ford Explorer. I just noticed my "high beam" indicator light was lit on the dash, but the high-beams weren't on, just the low. I could tell this because the driving lights were also on (they go off automatically when you activate the high-beams). The activator lever doesn't change the low to high, nor does the "flash" activation do anything. The high beam indicator remains constant. It does this regardless of the setting from the control **** (e.g. "auto" v normal). Any ideas?

Thanks for the info...any idea how much this costs, where it's located, and the difficulty in replacing it? Guess I'll be watching a YouTube video today! Thanks for getting back to me!

Fairly simple job, basic tools
MF is the turn lever/switch assembly. No very expensive if you shop it out online.
I can send the step illustrations to swap it out if you need..

What ever you could send would be appreciated! I did a search and all I could find was the entire turn-signal control unit with the lever and everything - it ran in the $90-$100 price range, unless I was searching for the wrong part. At any rate, I did notice prior to the issue with the inability to switch from low to high beams yet with the high beam indicator being lit the entire time...occasionally when I'd put either turn signal on, the left or right indicator would just illuminate - no "blinking", kinda like a burned out bulb...and then when I'd cancel the turn signal and reactivate, it would work fine - maybe for 3 or 4 flashes and then just on continuously. Are the turn signals also controlled by this same module switch? Maybe I DO need the entire assembly?

That’s it,, Some call them multi function, others combination switch.
But you should be able to find an aftermarket unit for much much less..
