Default IPOD help

2005 Exploror XLT limited. Stereo is the one with the SAT option (though I dont have that enabled). The deck also has an AUX button. What would be the easiest, and most cost friendly way to hook my IPOD up through the stereo? The radio connector for the IPOD is garbage... I want a direct connection. Thanks!
