NEW TRUCK
Hi Everyone,
New to this forum. I am looking into purchasing a 2004 explorer xlt. fully loaded with 15,000 miles. Wanted to know what you guys think?? Honest opinions of the truck and existing problems I should look for would be appreciated. I know the older Fords did not have strong tranny's but hopefully they fixed this. Any help, opinions, or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Greg

RE: NEW TRUCK
hey man,
The explorers are fantastic vehicles. just make sure the 4x4 is working and that all the lights go on and the power accessories are working too. As far as explorers go try to find one with AdvanceTrac and possibly go to an 05 and get the newer version AdvanceTrac with RSC. It really work bitchin trust me I know. For a little more driving pleasure go for the v8 because the v6 doent get much better gas mileage, (ive had both) and please buy a extended warranty for powertrain and eletrical. Im not saying that its a ****ty vehicle but you dont know what the previous owner did to it.
good luck
