Default Noise from 4.0

i have a 91 ford explorer with 170,000 on her. I believe it has a lifter tap and has had it ever since i have known. Since i am now using it as my daily driver (have put 27,000 on it since last may) it is bothering me. Is it a problem with these motors? The heads are fresh due to a blow head gasket that i fixed early last year, so the noise is not in the rockers. Any help will be appreciated.

did u re-tork the bolts on the heads? I was watching a car show on Spike and they said to do that cause after a while the heat and pressure causes them to flatten a little bit it wouldn't hurt to check all the bolts with a tork wrench to the correct pounds per square inch. idk I could be wrong.
