Ford ExplorerThis long running SUV has stood tough against the barrage of new entries into the mid sized SUV market, and with a variety of engine sizes and trim lines, the Exploder offers something for everyone.
Yesterday on the way home the rear window in my wife’s 2023 Explorer XLT just blew out! Nothing I’m hit it, it wasn’t cracked or chipped and we had been on the road for 15 miles already so it wasn’t cracked or warmed up. It blew outward in both lower corners right over the holes in the metal structure underneath as seen in the pictures. The entire window is cracked in a million pieces. Did some googling last night and I guess this is a somewhat common occurrence? Called the dealer this morning and of course they never heard of it and don’t do glass repairs. My insurance will get it replaced for me but this is clearly a defect either in material or design. How does Ford get held accountable for this ?
