Default Removing Trans Cooler Lines from Radiator

Hello everyone,

Time to replace the radiator on my 2006 Explorer with a 4.0L engine. I got the radiator out, but couldn't disconnect the trans cooler lines from the fittings screwed into the radiator (unscrewed the fittings from the radiator instead).

I tried using these inserts but perhaps the neck is too short. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance

Joe

The inserts worked. It was a little tricky, you have to be lined up perfectly with the spring locks but once the locks were expanded away from the line it came apart fairly easily.
