Replaced batteries in Remote Start FOB, now wont work
I replaced the batteries in the Automate Remote Starter FOB for my 2015 Ford Explorer. It looks like the batteries work as the FOB does blink when I hit the button. I used to hit the button 3 times to start the car. It does what it always used to, blinks with each press of the FOB. But I get no reaction from the Explorer. Care wont start...
Do I need to go through some kind of reprogramming after replacing the batteries?

So this is a aftermarket remote start correct?
If so, by whom and when did you have this installed?
I assume the vehicle starts just fine with the key.
Did you have any issues with the remote start before replacing the batteries?

Remote Starter has been in the car since we bought it 3 years ago. Ford dealer would have installed it in 2017 when my wife bought the car used.. No problems for last 3 years. Wouldn't start with remote starter today ad noticed the fob didnt light up at all. Replaced batteries and it seems to respond fine now.. but car wont start..
But it is not a Ford brand remote start correct?
The reason I am asking what brand the remote start is so there is somewhere to go with how the system works.
Since its a accessory added remote start I guess the best place may be to check that the added receiver/module has not come unplugged by any chance, the Ford accessoty ones are usually under the driver side dash and have a whole bundle of unorganized wires zip tied out the way.
