Default Running boards

I have a 1997 two door explorer with the stock nurf type running boards and the plastic is comming off on the one side does any one know i can get aftermarket parts for this sence the ford dealer told me that i can only get a complet running board from him and i am trying to avoid spending $500.00 for some thingI al ready have.

Strange, I had my step bars painted to match the main body color of my 97 Sport. Iwas able tojust order the pads from my local Ford Dealer. Of course, that was a couple of years ago.

I have a 2002 sport......and I want to lose my nerf boards.......got bolts too.......don't know if the holes match
