Default Strange noise when turning...can't find it!

Hello FordForum comunity,
i detected in my explorer 2000 xls 2wd days ago a very strange little "click" noise in the left front wheel when turning stering to the left in a STOP position or parking maniuvers, however when this happen you can't feel anything in the sering wheel just hear the "click' noise which sounds kind of "hollow" not so loud, ok put it this way... like a very light hit with a hammer to the alloy wheel... could be there anything loose??? how ever it drives perfectly no probs at all... any coment will be wellcome...
Gracias!

The wheel could be a little loose, you might check it to make sure it is touqued correctly. Does it matter if the car is moving or will it make the noise only when at a complete stop?

could be a bad wheel bearing or a loose break caliper also. so you might want to check those out. or the turn stop could be bent or bad causing tire to rub somewere.

Streetwave: I found my problem some time ago after checking brakes, wheel barings etc...,[&:] it was an Inner Tie Rod End, the left one to be exact, but i changed both, doing that the noise was gone and the driving got much better.... Hope this is your case and i helped you... GOOD LUCK!!!
