timing Chain ?

Default timing Chain ?
Does a 2000 Explorer 4.0L OHV engine have a rear timing chain? I have a chirping squeak noise almost sounds like a belt. Coming from the backside of the motor. The mechanic says its the rear timing chain. Im going to another shop next week he said the OHV motor doesnt have a rear chain. AZNy Ideas?
