Question Tire ? 06 Explore EB

Hi everyone. Does anyone know if I can put Goodyear Fortera TripleTred P255/75R-17, in place of the stock P245/65R-17 with out rubbing or any modifications? Don't want to buy the tires and be totally hosed. Mainly looking to raise ground clearance with out modifying the suspension. I like the way it rides now, just want to be a little higher up. Any help would be great.

They would fit. However, you would only be gaining a 1.25" increase in height. The 245/65-17's are only about 29.5" high while the 255/75-17's are about 32" high. The difference is 2.5" divided by 2 = 1.25" increase in height.
