Default Used 1995 Explorer Limited

I am searching for a vehicle, and i have mainly only been looking at jeep cherokees. so therefore i have only researched cherokees and looked into them and not explorers. that is why i am here hoping that all the enthusiast here can help me out. I went to a dealership and he had no cherokees but instead a 1995 ford explorer limited it was owned by this old guy. It is fully loaded with 4 wheel drive and all the works, with 139,000 miles on it. He wants 5,000 for it . Is this a good deal? Should i really be looking more into this? And what are some of the perks and specific reviews about the model and year?

That too much.
I not down on the Jeep I like the body style, but I think Fords 4.0L V6 has more HP then 4.0L inline 6. Buy something your going to like and take care of.

I don't want to go there, I haven't seen the truck. Kelly blue books says about $3500 private party price. So in that neighborhood would be a fair deal. That not to say its not worth more or not worth less, but 134K miles is a will it a lot

MAN !!!!! was the guy wearing a Mask an holding a Gun ????? , Yea if go to a Dealership their going to try an really stick it to you !!!!!, Best thing you can do is look at the KBB( Kelly Blue Book ) get an idea of the price , look in the local paper an see what thier going for , An with all this info, If thats the vechile YOU WANT. Go in there an make them a fair offer, If they know you have done your home work, there more apt to be willing to work with you . The average person goes in there likes the way the vechile looks , or its color-- matches their golf clubs or some non-sense an have no real idea of whats it worth. Salemans say 5 grand , they knock off a couple hundred cause they went to the same elem. school . An the guy thinks he got a deal, An the salemans booking his trip to Arubba

I bought a 95 XLT (112,000 miles) with leather, roof, and 6 CD changer for $4100. I am an auto broker and even though it might be a little high, it is very clean. New tires, brakes, and ball joints. Only 2 owners. No complaints. $4000 is resonable if it is clean and make sure the dealer gives you some sort of warranty (3 mo/3k miles is what we give). They should if they stand behind their vehicles. Carfax should be supplied as well.
