Because I have been there trying to do that is why I suggested what I did. After you try a few times on different Fords you have to accept what works and what does not.The only hose I could get to pass everything was a length of windshield washer hose , pretty small.

When was the last time you attempted to get a siphon down into a fuel tank of a late model car, pick up or van?

I should have explained it a little better because the hose couldn't get far enough down to where the fuel was in order to siphon it out.

Having maintained a fleet of Fords, I had to learn the hard way AND when the darn fuel pump would fail was right after they fueled up.and the vehicle had to be towed to the shop with almost a full tank.
