Default 01 f150 4x4 front end squeek

Just started to have horrible squeeking from the front end. notice this mostly while going slow, turning and over bumps. Frt end seems to be tight and there is no steering, wandering, or tire wear issues. new ball joints last year, new shocks this year. I've heard sway bar bushing can cause squeeking but cant believe it would cause this much noise. Any ideas. truck has 150,000 miles on it.

Lay under the truck and have a friend bounce it a bit to see where the noise is coming from. Usually a squeak is caused from a need for grease, or from a part that can't be greased...

tried that, cant get it to squeek enough while stationary, but if slowly rolling over bumps it squeeks like crazy.

It's either a upper or lower ball joint(s). This is a common problem as they are greaseless. These use a steel ball stud in a nylon socket. Is very noticable when rolling slow and turning the tires or going over bumps slow like into or out of a parking lot and such.

ball joijnts are only 2 years old and are aftermarket ones with grease fittings. The top balljoint came as a complete arm assembly with bushing so I think I can rule that out.

2 years old doen't mean that one or the other couldn't still be bad. I would then try spraying the swaybar bushings and any other bushing you can find with silicone spray to see if it goes way.

Agreed.

Also, have the ball joints that were put in been greased in the past two years?
