Default 04' F150 Rear Brakes

I have a 2004 F150, the brakes wore out at 23000 miles in the rear. The truck has a 6" lift and I was wondering because the front is now level with the rear of the truck is there a proportioning valve that can be adjusted because it wore the rear brakes so quickly. If anyone knows please let me know.TY

Rear brake wear on the newer F-150 (2004-2007) is not out of the ordinary. I have seen this quite often.

My '05 STX has 67K miles. When I had the tires changed, they told me that the front brakes had 50% pad life left, but the rear only had 20% pad life left. I've never seen a car or truck that wears rear brakes faster than front ones. Anyone have an idea why this is happening?

I replaced my fronts on my 2002 at 25k/miles. They were gone. Replaced pads all around at 32k/miles w/EBC pads and the rears had another 58k/miles on them. Boy does my ride stop now even with stock rotors.
