I rebuilt my transmission and re-installed. I have not hooked up my shifter cable to the tranny yet, but when I turn my key on I can not shift at the column. What would prevent me from shifting at the column if the cable is not hooked to the tranny. when the key is on, I can turn the steering, but not getting any dash lights (warning light that turn on when Key is on) and can not shift.

I also noticed the radio, temp controls and wipers are not working either, with the key on.

Checked all the fuses and related relays and all look or test good.

Any Ideas?

 

From what I have reserached it might be my brake shift interlock that is in my steering column. Has anyone else had this problem or can lead me to instructions to remove steering column?

Yes they do. The only things not working are the dash warning lights (mileage is working). Turn signals don't, radio doesn't, climate control doesn't, door locks don't,
