Default 10w 30 or 5w 30

I live in south Lousiana and my F150 calls for 5w30 motor oil. I've been using 10w30. Am I doing more harm than good by doing this?

My 94 f-150 originally called for 10w-30 which i used for many years, later there was a tsb saying the new recommended oil was 5w-30, pretty much for gas mileage i think, etc. Dont sweat it, check your owners manual for temp. ranges etc.

I live in central Louisiana and my 5.4 calls for 5w20, which I have used since it was new. I have 130,000 miles on it and it has never burned a drop of oil. I would use what your manual suggests!!
