1964 F100 Custom Cab seat belts or not
I am trying to find out if the 1964 ford F100 Custom Cab came with seat belts or not. I got a ticket for no seat belt and I have been told it is Grandfathered into the law and that that old does not require seat belts. I just need some proof to shove down the cops throat. Any one have any answers or know where I can get some. I even called ford dealers and they dont know either.
Thanks

Back in the 60's my dad bought a new '64 Ford Falcon (that's a car for those of you who weren't around then.) It came equipped with seat belts. I distinctly remember that because I learned to drive on this car and when I took my driver's license road test in '65, the state inspector made sure we were both buckled up.I suspect your pick-up had them as well. By the way, I think they were lap belts only.
But why would you drive around without seat belts anyway? Install a set -they may save your life!

Check this site. Seat belts were offered in 1965 as an option.
