1988 f-150 transmission swap

I just got a 1988 f150 v8 5.8 liter. I wanna have a lil more take off and driving experience. What transmission could i swap in with the least amount of mods

A change in your final gear ratio of your differential would have a greater impact than a transmission change at the expense of fuel economy..An 88 F150 is not going to give you an exciting driving experience.
