hi guys ! i have a 1996 ford f-150 4x4 with a 3 hole hubs ! the hubs on it are messed up ! it has those automatic hubs with a button on the dash ! i am thinking about changing them over to manual hubs ! i know i have to get a conversion kit ! what i want to know is do i have to do anything to the transfer case or do the conversion kit go in the wheels ? another thing is the button on the dash ! when i lock in the hubs at the wheels is it in 4 wheel drive or do i have to push the button first ? i guess you can tell i never had a 4 wheel drive before ! this is my first 4 wheel drive so i am a little bit handicap when it comes to 4 wheel drive ! my nephew, s ford truck the shifter is on the floor but it,s a older model and all i have is the button on the dash that says 4 wheel drive and low lock ! if you can answer those question for me i would appreciate it ! thanks guys for your time ! are there any ford mechanics out there ?>
