Default 1996 ford f-150

i have a 96 ford f-150 and i need to change the drivers side headlight assembly, the whole works ! i see 2 screws on top when i raise the hood so i took them out, i took the radiator and windshield washer reservoir out but i can,t see anymore screws that holds the chrome ring on around the outside of the headlight ! i need to get the chrome ring off before i can go any farther ! i would appreciate if any of you can direct me in taking the ring off ! thanks !

No on the grille..

The headlight door has 2 lower nuts on the 'backside' of the headlamp mounting panel. If you can't see them, take an inspection mirror and light and look at the area down low of the headlamp. (look over towards the park lamp area for one, the other is opposite) The nuts are sort of inset.

Also, if your going to remove the headlamp assy from the panel, there are retaining clips on the adjuster assys. Like bulky snap rings,, on the backside of the lamp panel as well. If you have a snap ring plier, insert it in the 'eyes' and spread the clips to remove..
