Default 1999 f150 v8 5.4L

I am having issues with my rear axle diferential. When i get past 30 it starts to make a loud howl that comes from the differential housing. I checked the oil level and it was fine but the oil contained pieces of metal. Any idea of whats wrong and what exactly needs to be replaced? I was thinking of just getting the rear axle assembly replacing it all. But ive been to junk yards and all the ones i see are 8.8 and mine says 9.75 on the tag. Does anyone know what axle assembly's and years are compatible with my truck?

By everything do you mean the parts you just named or the whole rear axle assembly? I am trying to find the cheapest way to get it fixed
