2000 F 150 Electrical Question
I have a 2000 Ford F-150, and the interior lights and bed lights won't shut off. This is happening when the engine is off, the doors are completely shut and the lights are off.
I tried rolling the interior light dimmer switch, but that's not shutting the lights off.
I looked for the old "plunger" type switch in the door frame, hoping it was something easy like that, but it appears that they use a hidden door frame switch for the interior lights.
I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about what I should do to get these lights to shut off.
Thanks.

Sounds like a door ajar switch is getting stuck. They're attached to the door latch. Sometimes spraying some wd40 into the latches will free them up. Couldn't tell you which one it is, but usually its the drivers door since it is used the most often.
hey i have a 2000 ford f-150 and i was thinking about installing some fog lights to the front and i don't know how to wire it to the interior to where i could turn them on and off separately like regular lights. How would i do that?
Simple! There may be some rubber plugs or grommets in the firewall area, around the steering wheel. If you have one/some, then pull it out, run your wire through the hole in the grommet and replace it in the whole. If you don't have any of those, then go to your nearest car parts store and purchase a couple, and drill your own whole through the firewall.
