Hi, I have recently purchased a 2001 Ford F-150. Got it home, when I turn the truck off, and close the doors, the door chime and interior light stays on for over 2.5 hours before shutting off. (not killing battery) When running, the windshield wipers stay on even when switched in the off position. The wiper freezes and once opening doors (either drivers of passengers) wiper moves up more about an inch. When fidgeting with the wiper switch the wipers go crazy and washer fluid motor turns on. Mileage flashes, "THEFT" stays on. The "DOOR AJAR" light is constantly on, which causes the chimes and interior light to stay on. The doors aren't open. Does anyone have an idea of what's going on here? I am hoping it's not a massive wiring problem. Please help!

Get some spray lubricant and spray the door latches. The door switch is located on the bottom of the latch inside the door. Work each door a few times and see if the lights will go off. It is possible the multi-function (turn signal) switch is causing the wiper problem.
