service engine light comes on code is p0402. changed pcv valve and pcv valve solenoid . service engine light
still comes on excessive exhaust gas is what code book says. truck runs fine but would like for it to be corrected
any suggestions?

 

it is your dpfe sensor and is a common thing

 

My 97 is doing the same thing except the code definiton was catalst below threshold bank one.The P code is however the same.. I would check the )2 sensors with a multi meter. the current hanes has the specs .I found out that my problem is most likly the cat .
