2002 Ford 7 Passenger Van 5.4 Tritan Motor
So recently I have been having issues with my van. It's a stock 2002 Ford 7 Passenger Van with a 5.4 Tritan motor. I have replaced the intake manifold hoping that this would fix the problem since I was constantly overheating. Now, I have gotten the codes "Fuel too Rich" on both banks. The Van seems to drive OK when cold but when it heats up it then starts to not want to run. I can barely accelerate from a stop and do better taking my foot off the gas than giving gas. The Van will also die when I go to stop only on occasion but just doesn't seem to want to run. My fuel gauge is not reading correctly because it has been stuck at the same spot for several days now. I am about to lose my mind trying to figure this out... if anyone has any suggestions, I am all ears and more than appreciative
Thanks in advance,
R

I would do a quick check for a failed fuel pressure regulator which can dump a lot of gas into the intake.. Pull the vacuum line off the regulator and cycle the key several times. Replace the regulator only if raw gas squirts out its vacuum fitting. If that checks out, you are going to have perform more in depth diagnostic work. I don't know if your engine is still overheating and I don't know why you settled for the intake manifold causing it.
A couple of hits on the gas tank with a rubber mallot might free up a stuck fuel sender.
