Default 2003 F150 Intermittent starting

2003 F150 Intermittent Starting. Every once in a while I would turn the key and nothing. Jiggle the shifting arm and the key and still nothing. The next day I can go out and the trucks starts up. Any suggestions?

When it acts up, do you hear the starter solenoid click?Do the lights and accessories work? I feel you are dealing with a bad connection. Starting with the battery, engine ground and starter connections, remove and clean up all of them. Don't get fooled and think they "look" good.Afterward if needed, use a voltmeter and go systematically downstream of the battery and see where you have the voltage drop.A rare situation might be an ignition switch, neutral start switch or the safety switch for the clutch pedal if you have a stick.

The entire electrical system works when it will not start. No click from the solenoid. Automatic transmission
