Default 2004 F-150

I am currently leasing an F150 4x4 FX4 ext cab. I have had this vehicle for almost a year. In this one year i have had nothing but problems. It has been in for service for more then 30 days with in 1 year and 30,000 miles. My most recent problem is the transmission is a goner. I do not trust this truck for day to day operations any more and i want it gotne and i would like a new vehicle. anyone know what i should do about this or who i should contact? I have tried everything that i know of except get a lawer for the lemon law. I would like to solve this with ford not my lawer. I need to know who to contact or go too. Everyone at ford has just sent me in circles.

Personally, with it being leased I would go to the dealer first. I would do this for a number of reasons, first being that you can go there without an appointment and actually talk to a person. It may not be the person that you need immediately, but it puts someone in a face to face situation that they need to resolve in some way. The second reason being they may be willing to give you the exact person you need to contact at Ford as well as info on how to use other avenues (like the Lemon Law) to resolve the situation. Finally, they have an interest financially to keep you happy. After all, why would you ever buy or lease from them again if you weren't happy with your first experience leasing from them.

I don't know if you tried this yet. Just some thoughts. Good luck.

Well if you go to a Lawyer , that will end all contact at the local dealer level. That I know for sure. In part to there afraid that if they sneeze it will be held against them. BUT if that is your last recourse thats what you gotta do to protect your self !!!!!! But yea I would take it back to the dealer , plead your case , an as a last resort , At the end of the conversation if you cannot reach an agreement , Then tell them you will be turning the matter over to your Lawyer ,. Ive seen where in the past a few dealerships have worked with the Customer in resolving the problem an putting them in another vechile , An I have seen others that showed them the front door ,, .{ I guess they figure the customer will get discussed an trade the vechile in at another dealership } [:@] Sorry I cant provide you with any real help , Good Luck

I have been in to the dealer and i have been in contact with a hand full of people. I am currently going though the BBB ( Better buisness beaure) to see if i can get anything done if not i guess the lawer is the best bet. The crazy part is i am going to purchase a bigger and more expensive truck. I am currently in an F-150 FX4 loaded with every option and i am going to purchase an F-250 loaded with a diesel which is $43,000 rather then the $32,000 I was going to spend on this truck because i was planning on purchasing it after the lease

I think that Ford is having a problem with their tranny's cause I just had to have mine replaced at 35,000 miles just after my warranty ran out!!! I have checked with the BBB and the Nhtsa and filed complaints. They put a factory rebuilt tranny in and it is slipping!!! I feel for you. Time to trade mine in.

GET A LAWYER!!!!I had a 2001 Ranger Ext Cab 4x4, I live in georgia and i was driving to kentucky one weekend. I pulled off the interstate to get some breakfast and i was stopped at a red light when i started hearing a knocking sound I looked over and there was this beat up rag of a truck and i thought to my self damn that thing is knocking like hell, when his light turned green and what i thought was a rag drove off I still heard the knocking and to my supprise it was my truck with 11,000 miles. I got out and looked around to see if it was leaking fluid, nope, truck wasnt running hot so i called ford roadside. The girl put me hold and called 4 dealerships, she told me none of them could take me so i told her what the hell is roadside assistance for. She finnaly found a dealership that would take me and it was an hour away, so she called a tow truck to get me and take me and my truck there. Got to the dealership at about 8:30am, sat there untill 4:30pm when i was told they would have my truck for 2 weeks because the #2 cylinder was gone. I begged and pleaded with them to replace the whole motor but no luck they tore into that one. I asked the service manager how do i get back home and without a word from him he turned around and left, came back a few minutes later and threw a yellow pages on the chair next to me and said here i guess you can call a rental car company or the airport. So i called a rental car company and got a car, asked the service manager if someone could take me to the airport which was 10 min from the dealership, he said no and that i had the phonebook and to call a taxi, i had had about enough by then and almost had the police called on me after that. The dealership called after 2 weeks and so i rented another car to go pick my truck up, got to the dealership got my truck and hit the interstate headed home, in tennessee the check engine light came on, i said f@$% it and kept driving, got to atlanta and my temprature gage was starting to rise so i stopped and the truck was pouring anti freeze everywhere. Called ford and had it towed to my local dealer who fixed those problems. After all that the truck went back to the dealer 8 times for various problems with the engine. I contacted a lawyer and I ended up getting 9000 dollars(lawyer took half) and turned the truck back in to ford at the end of my lease. Lawyer told me that ford doesnt want to take a car back because if they do it then has a salvage title for being a lemon so what they do is throw some money your way for negative equety(if there is any) or give you money and tell you to just turn it back in at the end of your lease, that way ford still gets there money from remaining paymens or they get there money back from u trading it in back to ford with the negative equety and then they sell your headache to somebody else for what the used price of your car is, like my truck was probably honestly worth 10,000 with all the problems i had but ford probably sold it as used for 17,500
