I am trying to find out if my fuel gauge is reading properly. When I fill the gas tank the fuel gauge needle stops before the "F" on the guage.
Also, I have a 30 gal. tank and filled up today when the gauge read 1/4 tank(exactly) but it would only handle 16.88 gallons. Unless my math is wrong, it appears that I'm missing approx. 6 gallons somewhere.
Also, I took the truck to the dealer last week to have this checked out and they said they would pull the tank, but never did, and informed me that the gauge was working fine. I will schedule with another dealer(that's not lazy) unless someone can tell me to not sweat this.
