2009 f150 remote start

2009 f150 remote start
i have a 09 f150 with factory remote start and when i start the vehicle with the remote start the lights flash and the horn beeps fast.I have to shut the vehicle off push the unlock on the key fob and then use the remote to start the vehicle and all is fine.What could be the cause of this?
