I have a 2013 F150 Lariat with the MyFord Touch Sync System in the 8" touch screen head unit. My phone will connect to bluetooth and I can have most phone calls through the bluetooth, sometimes the call output will not go through the bluetooth and i will have to hold the phone to talk even if it is connected to bluetooth. For several months I noticed issues with getting the bluetooth radio to work and the radio would periodically skip songs without being told do so, now I can't get the bluetooth radio to work even with my phone being connected. My head unit also will not index my phone through a USB connection. Has anybody had similar issues and/or can offer some advice before I put the truck in the shop this Friday?

 

Ford APIMs are horrible, Ive lost track of how many Ive replaced.
The APIM is the module that the bluetooth connects too, I think Ive only have two bluetooth issues that were not a faulty APIM.
There is special programming outside of normal ford module programming that has to be done for a new APIM, I dont know if non dealers can do this programming.
