Has anyone had trouble with their USB playing music off of a flash drive? I have the Sync 3 touchscreen display. Mine plays but it freezes quite frequently. My only thought is that they decreased the computing power they put in the console because it worked fine in my 2013 F-150. I have 7000 songs on it and it freezes in both USB ports.

If anybody has any thoughts it'd be appreciated. Thanks.

 

Have you tried a different flash drive? Since it does it in both USB ports, the common denominator would be the Flash Drive or the Sync 3 system.

 

Well it's the same USB drive that worked in my 2013 and all I did was unplug it from that truck and plug it in the new one, the USB drive itself is only a year and a half old...although it didn't have the touch screen so it didn't have to load all the album art and stuff. I'm guessing that's what it is but I wanted to see if anyone else has had that problem.

 

My SONY Sync system in my 2015 Lariat likes to AUTO load and play the music on my phone when I plug it into the USB port to charge the phone. Kinda irritating when listening to something else and it goes to the phone on its own for music. BUT...Not as irritating as the navigation display going upside down and being about 20 miles behind one time coming back from Florida last April on it's maiden voyage. That was real weird. I think is was heat exhausted,,,
