Default 2017 4x4 question

I just got a 2017 f150 4x4 with the 10spd transmission. It has 11000 miles on it now. I put my truck in neutral shifted to 4x4, back to drive n took off. Everything worked fine until I tried to make a u-turn. I couldnt get past maybe a 20 degree turn angle. I tried turning more but it was tough and it started making scraping noises n scared the s**t outta me, so i went back to 2wd. Im assuming thats not normal. I just added a leveling kit if that makes any difference. Any help or ideas on what that noise and turn restriction is would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!
