Hey everyone, it looks as if you have to order a truck with the tailgate step to get the new work surface, is this true or am i missing something on build and price?

At my dealer all the F150s with the work surface have the step.

 

My PowerBoost did not come with a work surface. It kind of sucks that Ford didn't make this standard equipment. Didn't get the little built in ladder either. The Tailgate step with the tailgate work surface is an option on the XL and XLT. On the Lariat through Platinum trims it's an option, but is package with a full powered tailgate (meaning you don't have to lift it to close it). On the Limited you get the Powered Tailgate with Tailgate step with the tailgate work surface as standard equipment. It would be nice if this work surface could be purchased aftermarket.
