Im looking in to getting a new small truck 2001-2003 i either want the 4.2liter f-150 single cab or the 4.0 ranger single/xl. I either want 4x4 or 2wd if 2wd the im oging to pre runner it if 4x4 then put a little lift tiers, the works... I was just woundering which one has more horse power/torq, miles per gallon freeway/city and whats better for sand beause i live in pismo beach and the dunes are just right there. i would also like ur guys opion on wich is better between the two

I have personaly been to pismo beach many many times, having lived in lompoc most my life. I would go with the 4.6L f150 4x4 more house power.
