4 wheel drive kicking in

Default 4 wheel drive kicking in

looking for any information on my 2004 f150.my truck has 87000 miles on it and in just the last couple of days when you come to a stop, it feels like the 4 wheel drive is trying to kick in. is this possible and any ideas what to do or check. any help would be greatly helpful thank you jamie

try check wheel bearings. anyway, welcome to the forum.

I would check for leaks in the vacuum line(s) that feed the 4x4 system along with the vacuum solenoid for the 4x4 system. I believe the solenoid sets under the battery and is a common issue on the F-150's.

i did forget to mention that it happens after you come to a stop then when you start going is when it happens. it will do it just until you start to pick up speed then it stops

i bet its ur clutch packs in your rear end i have an 04 f150 and i had the same problem.
