Hi All,
Last nite going home from work in my 99 F-150 with only 75000 miles on her. one of my sparkplugs blows out of the head, threads and all. i limp it home and find the plug is gone, the coilpack is toreup. This is my baby and i've allways have taken good care of her. anyone knows about this. Calling my local Ford dealer that knows nothing. any help??
Thanks G3

Had this happen. Went to the dealer and for $392 they bored, tapped, cleaned the cylinder out of any shavings, and installed a helicoil-type sleeve, (not just thread replacement), into the head with lock-tite. Now the plug screws into steel. Use MOTORCRAFT plugs, they are tapered somehow that prevent loosening, but not 100% guaranteed.
