Default 93 f150 dash problems

i just purchaseda 93 f150 5.0 EFI, three speed automatic, 364,000 miles, fleet maintained until 300,000 then caring private owner. paid $900, body is excellent, needs trans, but runs strong.

my problem is approximately 1/2 of the dashboard items do not work. i have checked all of the fuses, both under the dash and under the hood in the power distribution box, all appear to be good...have not replaced any relays or other such as i thought i would check here with the experts before outlaying a ton of cash.

items working....of course, check engine light, oil gauge, fuel gauge, amp gauge, temp gauge, blinkers, headlights, tail lights, brake lights. speedo, digital odoand interior light worked last week but stopped when i replaced the blown fuse for the a/c heat switch---which blew again...

items not working....a/c switch....blows a fuse every time...speedo, odo, interior and under hood light, aftermarket cd player, wipers

as mentioned, checked all fuses, both regular size under dash and big ones under hood, and they are goodbut have done nothing with reference to therelays....

thanks in advance for any input prior to me spending a ton on possibly already working components.

It sounds likeyou have a short in the a/c system somewhere that is probably causing a good amount of these issues. Try to find the short and clean your grounds. Good luck.

The float could be off/too low making the tank read as full until a cretain point when the float can actually start moving down with the level of the fuel in the tank.
