94 f150 4x4 shifting hard. Read somewhere to unhook battery to reset computer. This cured the shifting problem, but it keeps coming back after a week or so. This makes the third time. Need help?

 

i have a 92 with the same problem mine was really bad in between gear 2 and 3 it would really bang. I changed the egr valve and that fixed the problem. The shifting problem was caused by poor vacumn. hopefully this helps
