help! What do I need to fix to get an idle issue solved? It starts, then goes dead. It will restart , you just have to give it some throttle. It works itself out after you drive awhile. It does not do it everytime. Is there such a thing as an idle sensor anymore? Also, what do you do for an odometer going black. It is also an occasional problem. Thanks for any help!

ok , I did see the tps. There is another sensor to left side of throttle assembly. And another on the rear. I guess I need a Haynes or Chilton.Or go buy one and see what it looks like. I just hope that is what it is. I had a '90 5.0L that had the same type of prob. Thanks for the info!

IAC , { Idle Air Control } Valve, it should have a small round cylinder on it, a 2 wire plug , an held on with 2 small screws , takes like 15 min. to change , oh dont loose the gaskit under it when you take it off. I dont have a pic , to show you, sometimes you get away with taking them off an cleaning them to get the crud outta it just use some componet cleaner swish it around an flush several times , the lil rod inside should move up an down , be careful not to damage the rod, an check the holes that match up to the valve it wouldnt hurt to spay a tad of carb. cleaner in there . might be a lil hard to start till the cleaner dries but that should do it , otherwise u might have to replace the valve--- piece of cake,,,YOU CAN DO IT !!!!!!
